Lance Albers is an award-winning oil painter and photographer whose work thrives on creative versatility and exploration.
As a pluralistic artist, Lance’s background spans everything from vivid realism to bold, expressive oil paintings and drawings. This dynamic foundation means he doesn’t capture the world through a single rigid lens; instead, he brings an adaptable eye for style, composition, texture, and light to his professional photography. Since transitioning his creative focus in 2015, Lance has leveraged this diverse artistic background to deliver striking residential, commercial, and event photography. Based in Fergus Falls, Minnesota since 2006, he proudly serves the local Otter Tail County community and beyond with a vision that bridges the gap between fine art and professional media.
Lance and Bonnie Bell Albers have been together since 2009. (Married since 2014.)
When he isn’t in the studio or behind the camera, Lance lives in Fergus Falls, Minnesota with his wife, Bonnie Bell Albers, and their giant German Shepherd, Jax.
With decades of professional visual art experience, Lance has completed countless fine art and photography commissions. His diverse body of work can be found in hundreds of private homes across the United States and around the world. His work also resides in public institutions, and museums. A highly collaborative creator, he frequently partners with community leaders, historians, fellow artists, photographers, and interior designers to bring complex visions to life.

His pluralistic style adapts dynamically to the project at hand—ranging from highly complex, meticulously detailed masterpieces to clean, minimal, and beautifully simple compositions.
